According to the American Optometric Association, children should have their eyesight tested first when they are 6 months old, then again at 3 years old, and again before they begin school. After that, it’s recommended to bring your child in for checkups every 2 years, but visits may be more frequent depending on your child’s needs. During your child’s checkup, our office will perform a visual acuity test and evaluate the health of your child’s eyes.
